Projekt 10: Zweigstelle der Stiftung in Apia   

Wir arbeiten weiter an der Anerkennung unserer bereits 2017 eingerichteten Zweigstelle durch die örtlichen Behörden. Zurzeit gibt es auf Samoa noch keine gesetzlichen Bestimmungen für Zweigstellen gemeinnütziger Stiftungen. Diverse Treffen mit Ministerien und dem Premierminister dienten dazu, diese gesetzliche Lücke zu füllen. Solange dies nicht erfolgt ist, ruhen alle weiteren Samoa-Projekte. Der Premierminister hat erneut eine Problemlösung zugesagt.

Project 10: Branch of the Foundation in Apia. We continue to work on the recognition of our branch office, which was already established in 2017, by the local authorities. Currently, there are no legal provisions for branches of charitable foundations in Samoa. Various meetings with ministries and the Prime Minister served to fill this legal gap. Until this is done, all further Samoa projects are on hold. The Prime Minister has again promised a solution to the problem.

Projekt 11: Betrieb eines Kfz in Samoa 
Es steht weiterhin ein geländegängiger Pkw zur Verfügung, der zum einen zur Koordinierung der Projekte auf den Inseln dient und zum anderen als „Community Car“ für Krankentransporte diente.

Project 11: Operation of a motor vehicle in Samoa. An all-terrain car is still available, which is used to coordinate projects on the islands and as a "community car" for transporting patients. Project ongoing. Cost 2019: € (still open)

Projekt 12: Ausbildung von Psychotherapeuten/innen in Apia
Auf Samoa gibt es bislang keine psychotherapeutische Versorgung. Wie planen daher, in Zusammenarbeit mit der „National University of Samoa“ (Apia), der „Medical School“ (Apia) und dem „Institut für Integrative Verhaltenstherapie – IVT“ (Hamburg), ein englischsprachiges Curriculum für die Ausbildung in Kognitiver Verhaltenstherapie zu etablieren und durchzuführen.
Hierzu sind wir zurzeit in Gesprächen mit den entsprechenden Ministerien und Fortbildungsträgern. Der Ausbildungsbeginn ist für Ende 2020 geplant.

Project 12: Training of psychotherapists in Apia. Up to now, there has been no psychotherapeutic care in Samoa. We are therefore planning to establish and implement an English-language curriculum for training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy in cooperation with the "National University of Samoa" (Apia), the "Medical School" (Apia) and the "Institute for Integrative Behavioural Therapy - IVT" (Hamburg). We are currently in talks with the relevant ministries and training providers. The start of training is planned for the end of 2020.

Projekt 13: Aufbau des „Center for Mental Health“ in Apia
Das geplante „Center for Mental Health“ in Apia soll zur ambulanten und stationären psychothera-peutischen und psychiatrischen Versorgung der Samoanischen Bevölkerung dienen. Eine solche gibt es bisher nicht. Auch hierfür sind wir zurzeit in Gesprächen mit den entsprechenden Ministerien und Entscheidungsträgern. Der Baubeginn ist für Ende 2020 geplant.

Project 13: Establishment of the "Center for Mental Health" in Apia. The planned "Center for Mental Health" in Apia is intended to provide outpatient and inpatient psychotherapeutic and psychiatric care for the Samoan population. So far, there is no such centre. We are currently in talks with the relevant ministries and decision-makers. Construction is scheduled to begin at the end of 2020.

Projekt 14: Ärzte für das Sataua District Hospital
Wir planen, Ärzte für Allgemeinmedizin und/oder Fachärzte für Innere Medizin und Frauenheilkunde dafür zu gewinnen, auf pro bono Basis für einige Monate in Sataua und ggf. anderen Distrikt Krankenhäusern auf Savaii zu arbeiten.
Die Stiftung sorgt für kostenfreies Logis, Verpflegung und die Reisekosten.
Das Gesundheitsministerium unterstützt dieses Projekt.
Zudem ist geplant, dass die Stiftung das Ministerium dabei unterstützt, die Gesundheitsvorsorge dadurch zu verbessern, indem Trainingskurse von ausländischen Spezialisten für lokal niedergelassene Ärzte veranstaltet werden. Dies insbesondere zur Behandlung von Herzkrankheiten, Diabetes, Krebserkrankungen und Palliativmedizin. Es werden auch mobile Zahnärzte für die Versorgung der Distrikt-Krankenhäuser gesucht.

Project 14: Doctors for Sataua District Hospital. We are planning to recruit general practitioners and/or specialists in internal medicine and gynaecology to work on a pro bono basis for a few months in Sataua and possibly other district hospitals on Savaii. The Foundation provides free accommodation, meals and travel expenses.
The Ministry of Health supports this project.
It is also planned that the foundation will support the ministry in improving health care by organising training courses by foreign specialists for local doctors. This is especially for the treatment of heart disease, diabetes, cancer and palliative care. Mobile dentists are also being sought to provide services to district hospitals.
